Spring 2026 Course | America at 250

The History Department is delighted to partner with Stanford Law School and American Studies Program to offer a 1-unit course in Spring 2026 to explore the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Declaration of Independence.  Bringing together Stanford faculty from across the university, the course will unpack how the concerns and values expressed in the Declaration have played out across U.S. history, tying the nation's origins to its present.

The course is open to all Stanford undergraduate and graduate students and can be taken for 1-credit.
Stanford students, faculty, and staff are invited to join the course sessions for free.
