Natalia Mehlman Petrzela is Assistant Professor of History at the New School and the author of Classroom Wars: Language, Sex, and the Making of Modern Political Culture (Oxford, 2015) as well as numerous essays in scholarly journals and popular publications such as The New York Times, Slate, and The Huffington Post.
