Ottoman Empire and Middle East Workshop
Ottoman Empire and the Middle East (OEME) workshop series started in the 2020-2021 academic year with the aim of bringing together graduate students and faculty working on topics related to the OEME field. This workshop series consists of regular 90-minute meetings and meets 2-3 times per quarter. The format is open to different styles of presentations. Among other possibilities, presenters have the option to workshop works-in-progress, do mock job talks or discuss archival findings. All History department affiliates are welcome to present as long as their presentations relate to the OEME field. This workshop provides a space, where we can discuss our research and receive feedback from one another. All Stanford affiliates are welcome to attend. We hope to foster a sense of community within the History Department while also providing opportunities to connect across different departments.
