Roundtable Speakers: Aminata Sow Fall is an internationally renowned Senegalese-born novelist. Her novel, La Grève des bàttu, won the 1980 Grand Prix Littéraire d’Afrique noire. Elisabeth Mudimbe-Boyi is Professor Emerita of French and Comparative Literature at Stanford University. Soraya Tlatli is Associate Professor of French at the University of California, Berkeley.Co-sponsored by the Stanford Forum on African Studies. Sponsored by the Stanford Initiative For Religious and Ethnic Understanding and Coexistence, supported by the President’s Fund, the Center for Comparative Studies in Race and Ethnicity (CCSRE), Religious Studies, and the Taube Center for Jewish Studies.
