Disorientation: Stanford Students and the Legacy of the Black Panther Party is a unique oral history podcast that brings together Stanford students, faculty, staff, and community members throughout the Bay Area to explore Stanford’s history with the Black Panther Party and student activism on campus.

    This episode introduces the purpose of the podcast and introduces the history of the Black Panther Party by discussing its 10 Point Plan. The hosts then discuss how Stanford's own goals and actions have engaged with some of those points, which sets the foundation for some of the later episodes in the series.
     
  • Episode 2: Being a Young Woman in the Black Panther Party - July 2022

    This second episode of the Disorientation, Stanford student-podcasters Maya and Destiny look at the experiences of women in the Black Panther Party from the perspective of youth and decision-making as college-age women and students. The hosts interview Judy Juanita, poet and former Panther, as well as filmmaker and scholar Angela LeBlanc-Ernest, who received her MA in History at Stanford.
