Duygu Yildrim Awarded FEEGI Article Prize Honorable Mention
The FEEGI Article Prize has awarded an Honorable Mention to Duygu Yildirim (PhD candidate in History, Stanford University) for “Bevanda Asiatica: Scholarly Exchange between the Ottomans and Europeans on Coffee,”Osmanlı Araştırmaları / The Journal of Ottoman Studies LVI (2020): 25-48.
The committee especially noted “the attention to the Ottoman Empire, use of non-European sources, and emphasis on different aspects of cross-cultural exchange, as well as the overall sophisticated level of analysis.”
