Kayra Guven

Kayra Guven is a Ph.D. candidate in the field of Transnational, International, and Global History. Prior to Stanford, she earned her A.B. in History from Princeton. She studies imperial travel networks and mobility, focusing on the history of commercial airline routes in the twentieth century. Her research and teaching explore the history of colonialism, capitalism, and technology, as well as cultural and environmental history. For her teaching, she received the Centennial Teaching Assistant Award. During the 2026-27 academic year, she will be a France-Stanford Fellow for the Roxane Debuisson Collection on Paris History.
