Marguerite Vasy

B.A., History, Stanford University (2025)

Marguerite Vasy is a coterminal master’s student who focuses on Medieval Europe, in particular the Investiture Controversy. Her research has centered on the articulation of papal authority through long distance communication under Pope Gregory VII. One facet of this that particularly interests her is how medieval seals projected presence and authority for their faraway users. She also studies chronicles from the Holy Roman Empire.
