She is particularly interested in late 18th and early 19th-century United States history and is currently writing her honors thesis on slavery as a political language in the making of the American Union. When she’s not around Lane, you can usually find her at the pool, singing in various theatrical productions around campus, or squirreling away volumes of correspondence from the shelves of Green Library. Feel free to say hi—she’d more than love to chat about the History program, or really anything in between. She also has a background in STEM, so if you’re thinking about double majoring or coming into History from a STEM field, she’d be happy to talk about that, too!
