M.B.A., UCLA
M.A., Urban Planning, UCLA
B.A., History, Stanford University

I am a M.A. candidate focused on – among other topics – global trade in the early modern period with a gender lens.  Before entering the MA program I held leadership positions in financial services, consumer technology, and community development for forty years, including four years in the Clinton Administration helping to lead the Federal Housing Administration.

I did my undergraduate work at Stanford in history and got an MBA and a MA in Urban Planning (3-year joint-degree program) from UCLA.  I also spent 2022 and part of 2023 at Stanford as a Distinguished Career Institute Fellow, happily taking courses in history, threats to democracy, and international relations.
