Yuki Hoshino

Yuki Hoshino is a PhD student in History, studying East Asia during the 19th and 20th centuries. His research focuses on the city of Osaka as a global and imperial city that played a critical role in the Japanese Empire and beyond. Methodologically, he is interested in utilizing digital tools, cartography, and oral histories to weave together a spatial history. Yuki is also invested in teaching, from effective pedagogy to improve students’ writing, utilizing tools within the digital humanities, and fostering an open and inclusive environment.
