Declaration Forms

Submit all declaration and petition forms to Kai Dowding by email at kdowding [at] stanford.edu (kdowding[at]stanford[dot]edu) or in Building 200, Room 113.

Petition Forms

• Submit the Petition for Modification of Departmental Requirements in order to petition for a course from another department or program, including overseas courses, to count toward the major or minor.
• Submit the Petition for Application of Outside Course Work to History Department Requirements in order to petition for coursework transferred from another institution to count toward the major or minor.
• Submit the Petition for Exemption from Six Quarters of Registration in the History Major if you would like the declare the History Major and you have fewer than six quarters of enrollment remaining in your undergraduate career. 

Honors

• Submit the 2025-26 Honors Registration Form by 5:00pm Monday, October 6, 2025
• 2025-26 Honors Advisor and Second Reader Form (PDF)
• 2025-26 Honors Program Handbook (PDF)
• Honors Research Grant Information & Application Form (for active Stanford History majors)

Summer Internship Grant
