Minor in History
To obtain a B.A. minor in History, Stanford undergraduates must take 6 eligible courses:
- Each course must be taken for at least 3 units and for a letter grade.
- Two courses must be in small-group format (such as IntroSems, Sources &Methods courses, 200-level colloquia).
- Three courses must be in a geographical, chronological, or thematic concentration. Thematic concentrations include
- Global Affairs and International Relations
- Law and Public Policy
- Environment, Science, Medicine and Technology
- Economics and Political Economy
- Religion and Intellectual History
- Activism, Public History and Public Service
- Gender and Sexuality
- Race and Ethnicity
Students must declare the minor in History no later than Autumn Quarter of their senior year.
