DHAsia Hands-On Clinic | The Curation of Voice: Enhancing Search, Discovery and Content Structure in Oral History Collections, with Kris Manjapra
No events to view at this time. Please check back again soon.
In this workshop we explore the fundamentals of audio and video curation.
With attention to the distinctive textuality of oral history recordings, participants are introduced to curation methods that improve content structure, and facilitate the search, annotation, visualization, and interpretation of oral history collections.
We practice a variety of audio and video curatorial methods, including editing, segmentation and timestamping, adding descriptive metadata, choosing controlled vocabulary, keyword indexing, and geospatial markup. And we explore a number of online platforms and tools that assist in audio and video curation, thus opening up oral history texts for deeper analysis.
