Theresa Iker is a Ph.D. candidate in United States history studying the intersections of gender, culture, and politics. Her dissertation provides the first historical account of the origins and growth of the American men’s rights movement. “Before the Red Pill” answers timely questions about social movement formation, political realignment, and the growth of the far Right. Her interdisciplinary research and teaching engage with a range of fields and methodologies, including Feminist, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, American Studies, and sociology.
